Mistaken Mortals

Emotions are for the use of real humans.

Last night, in a singing contest, there were a lot of great skillful participants who sang their self-chosen songs. However, among them there were also a big difference between human beings and machines, respectively the group of people who sang with real feelings and the other one who made out melodic sounds of no deep-under emotions. That is such a pity.

While hearing some of the robots sang, I felt my emotion and heart being stranded in the middle of my chest, feeling barely relaxed and touched by their seemingly rhythmic voices, coming out all from the same hollowed and empty hole. My question and suspicion began to appear clear in sight: what were they thinking when they lied to us and themselves, saying that they are good singers?

The cold, hard fact is that they can never actually be called singers but skillful machines who only knew to imitate the highly professional knacks of singing while they forgot to dig their hearts out whenever they sing. Humming or singing, to some, may be easy.
However, without really knowing the lyrics and emotions underlying the song, you are just yet again mustering up an enormous proportion of courage to claim brazenly that you understand the meaning of singing or simply expressing yourself with melodies and words.
