Integrity or Depravity

Here's something I heard today that made me feel so disappointed:
"While I read through one of the resumes, my tears almost dropped when I saw how the child has suffered, which gave me the will to help her."

It seems that there's nothing wrong about the expression or sentence since it was just someone who deeply sympathized the life of others. But, in my aspect, this is where went wrong.

Why should anyone be sympathized by others who don't really understand the life of them?

I mean, shouldn't we be working hard in our life to impress others instead of letting others to have pity on us? Even if I have faced something that almost dissected me from the world, I would never ever let someone I do not really know feel sorry for me. Because what I am doing when I try to show them how awfully I have been growing up is like telling the whole world that they owed me my life and that they have to pay me back. But no one owes me anything. If we want to go to a better school or if we want to live a nicer life, it should be ourselves that we ask for the things we want.
Why should we use the sympathy of others to gain what we actually lust for?

It seems that more and more people nowadays are using this kind of human nature for the advantage of themselves.
Maybe they think they are powerful and smart in the act, but to me, they just seem so tiny and meaningless to the world and themselves.
When a person only thinks about how to receive the help or benefits from others, he/she is never going to really be a part of the world. Maybe they will get what they always desired to have, but they will never truly earn the respect from others.

I believe that people who are worth the respect of others, don't easily look down at themselves for the environment they are in. I am sure they would accept the fact and still work their way out of it before sitting there waiting for the rescue of others.

Well...
We could never change anyone to the way we want them to be.
But we could change ourselves into the person we seek for.

Life is like drawing.
When we want the picture to look nice, we have to add better colors to it.

Drifting or Drowning

What do you think of when you see a feather up in the sky?

Do you think it is drifting to somewhere it belongs?
Or do you think it is drowning to a land that it should be lying?

Life is like the middle of these two.

We are floating around the world in search for new things, people, and places. But we cannot always decide where, who, and what we would really end up being in or with. We could determine part of our life, but it seems that we just can't really choose it fully.  Even when we have so much power to make the decisions by ourselves, it seems obvious that we might be startled by the very fact that life is so easy and tedious.

Well...

Life has started itself.

We have to keep weaving to make it better or worse.
We have to savor the goodness from the badness.
We have to make ourselves a part of it.

And soon, it ends by itself without telling us when and why.

Numbers

Recently, I have been thinking.
Is it that our life and even ourselves are based on scores, points, and numbers?

We grow up in a tidy place where parents, teachers, or even peers have the thoughts of comparing scores with others. And we also go to schools and colleges compatible to our points on exams. Finally, we end up being in a future that we have determined when we were so young ago, a time when we seemingly cannot even remember. What if some of us lagged behind others before we finally know what we want to be or how we can be great enough to compete with others? Maybe, in this world, we would never get to chase up those who had already earn the planning from their parents.  Or maybe, if we could, we might only reach their footsteps when we had already grown into mid-life or even years before death.
We are also trap in numbers who or which are always around us. We live at a certain place with numbers to differ from others. We are rung by our numbers when others want to find us, or say, bind us. We wear clothes and shoes with different numbers of size. Even in our genes, we are all made up of different groups of scientific numbers. We are, as I have pointed, in a world of numerous, thousands, and infinite numbers.
But why, as human, are we simply numbers or points? We should be men who have minds, thoughts, and life not just numbers or scores that categorize us into different sections. We should be unique forms of body who can never be replaced by the dead and cold signs. However, when we develop our world or advance ourselves more, we have become increasingly oriented and arranged by numbers. We have become so much like a creature or, actually, a thing that uses the 10 indifferent signs to define our world and ourselves.
What if the numbers disappear one day or were not even invented?
Will we still be the same?
