Ticking Silence

The days are not to be counted,
For when it is, the Innard surmounts all others,
Pleading its keeper to clear up the gate for a long-lost friend, Anesthesia.
Oh, nay, that is a misspoken name!
It is the dame with the same end
That tames the Innard for its keepers' sake.
